FaceTime restored on Egyptian iPhones

One of the benefits of getting rid of an Autocratic ruler/government appears to be the use of FaceTime on your iPhone.  SaudiMac reports that Vodafone Egypt is now enabling FaceTime via carrier update.

We still don’t get why carriers get to decide if you have a Wifi-only communications application.
