Microsoft lowers the price of Zunes by $20.  Sorry if we didn't hear about this earlier, it was under our radar.  Here's the new lineup vs. the nano equivalent:

  • 16 GB: Zune, $179; iPod $199 equiv
  • 8 GB: Zune, $139; iPod $149
  • 4 GB: Zune, $99; no iPod

.

...good luck with that...

I love how they just hate the Zune.

That video is classic. What Microsoft wanted as a chance to showcase their new Zune turned into more Apple press. Its no wonder they hate Apple so much...

Microsoft... owned. lol.

"why don't they get some decent design people?"

hahahaha

i thought it used bluetooth to transfer songs not wifi!

Like it matters - try lowering by $100 and they might, i said might, sell a few ....

Guy at the local gamestop store had their zunes displayed for 9 months and sold 1 unit ..... as you know gamestop stopped handling the zune - manager told me a month later they were still sitting in the backroom ..... don't know what finally happened after that but 9 months on one sale - ouch

The lady goes "wtf, my shuffle is better" and the guy goes "sh1tf@ckc0ck it's ugly". Microsoft gets no love.

"Why don't they get some decent design-people?" :-)

In other news, Apple PLEASE copy the new Zune subscription model: Unlimited music for $15, keep 10 songs per month. It's pretty brilliant!

They may have a point about the Playsforsure compatibility, but I'm rather tired of people blaming other companies for their devices not being able to play music purchased on iTunes.
