Nerds..

Wow. Get a load of how reflective that new macbook screen is. Hmmm. My old macbook is glossy, but I can't make it that glossy.

it would be ironic if developers made windows 7 on a mac.

Wow. Based on the article title I was expecting Windows to be slammed again. But instead I'm more disappointed with that Macbook screen. How the hell can people say the reflection is tolerable? This is a real guy in a real world environment and that reflection was insane!

Christ, that glossy screen is horrid.

I predict next year Jobs will announce matte screen versions of the Macbooks with lots of fanfare and "we listened!" chants. The fanboys will eat it up, and conveniently forget they were screwed by Apple in the first place.

Kinda like the iPhone 3G's normal 3.5mm headphone jack.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's the Macbook, and NOT the Macbook Pro.

Does this site ever check their material?

I'm pretty sure that is a 15" MBP. The Macbook's don't have room for speakers down either side of the keyboard like the one in the video does, and under the screen on the black bit - it says: 'Macbook Pro' -- Couldn't be more obvious if you ask me

Look, I was corrected :D

Networking aside, the non-working right-mouse button also occurs in Vista. Apple's Bootcamp driver for the new Macbook's touchpad is pretty awful and features sporadic mouse movements and the need to three-finger-click for context menus.

you just nailed it.... wtf is with the trackpad in windows! i know its not made for windows, but they do make the drivers for their products!

Its been working just fine on my MBP under VMWare for days now. Why do people use bootcamp is beyond my understanding.

Come on now, do the drivers really matter that much?
Why would you run windows on a mac, anyway :p

Seriously, though, my favorite part was, when the guy said:

This is the new paint.
(Then he asks the other guy...)
Is there anything else worth showing off?

I believe it's "OS Ten", not "OS Ex"....

You say potato, I say potato.

Same difference, personal preference given that X is the Roman Numeral for 10 it can be said both ways.

Our Apple reps refer to it as OS X not OS 10.

Apple said when MacOS X was released, that it is officially pronounced OS "Ten". If your Apple reps say "Ex", then feel free to correct them.

That was a pretty rubbish video. Hopefully it will be a bit better once they actually get the internet working.

Is internet really going to add that much?

and here's... internet explorer X. where you can see all your carefully designed, standards-compliant web pages, rendered to hell and back.

I know it's underwhelming because it's still mostly vista.. but doesn't that mean an admission that Vista truly was underwhelming, if not upsetting?

yea...so theres nuin new,,,even i got windows 7 running on my 'new' macbook pro...and to tell i got it before these nerds got it...but the same problem...INTERNET wont won't work on windows 7...Go HELL with MICROSOFT..!

That wasn't the official version of Windows 7, the taskbar looks totally different... It's just another attempt to nail Microsoft... Why can they just... get along :(

Wow that glare on the screen is freaking horrible! Thanks for showing the vid, I'll still have to go into the store to make final decision, but now more than before I'm certain that I may hold out for a bit more longer on buying a MB or MBP. Just so disappointing with Apple when it comes to this feature, been holding out for a year and a half for all the features I wanted to finally come out on a Macbook, but yet it had to be ruined by not offering a Matte screen..........sigh.

this is beyond tolerable glare, this is just a mirror.
I wonder how people think that's acceptable.
