I have no idea what 3G is. I thought it was supposed to be #rd generation, but that makes no sense since it is the 2nd iPhone in the market made. So, I'm going to go with the speed of the network, if that makes any sense. If I'm right, what do I get?
3Rd generation cellular network
My 3G is definitely not that fast. ATT, SF Bay Area. GPS Takes forever and web pages are faster than EDGE but not as fast as that video shows.
That's almost exactly like the Rogers commercial, except they used a map of Toronto and a Canadian Paper. And the guy doesn't have an Aussie accent
acctualy he does,
thats how most australians speak. unlike the very stereotypical accent that is portrayed in the movies, this is a true representation of the australian accent...
there have been alot of ads like this being run ATM in Australia but none like the origonal 'this is how you turn it on'. interestingly the carriers that support iphone are not advertising it. instead apple is chucking a picture of one of the carriers on there ads... fair competition although i'm yet to see a telstra icon!
in other news i went in to optus yesterday and if you've imported a 1st gen iphone all you have to do is buy an optus sim card (pre or post paid) and it'll activate your phone and you'll be able to use it as intended none of this pwnage crap that voids warranty.
Ha I wish my iPhone 3G ran that fast. That thing is like iPhone on steroids.
Okay, my iphone is NOT that fast. What gives?
Crazy, I live in NY and my 3G is no way close to that. Wi-Fi isn't even close to that. Talk about false advertising.
It's Australia guys, we're the lucky country remember.
That's what sucks your battery... really fast!
Heh, I'm with Vodafone on the Gold Coast in Queensland and I'm lucky if I get half that fast on 3G. Maps is about the only thing which is as fast as the video states.
@ Kev
Where the hell do you think that accent comes from if it's not Australian?
Kev is not saying the accent in this video is not Australian, he is saying the CANADIAN VERSION OF THIS AD DOES NOT HAVE AN AUSSIE ACCENT.
