I'll be honest with you folks, the only thing that mattered to me tonight was the presence of one Steve Jobs. I'm a confirmed Apple devotee and I really cannot imagine doing the job I do now (or even having got into this line of work) without my Macbook Pro (and all the Powerbooks that went before it). Creating these tools and putting them into the hands of folks like me was the vision of this man.
I spot Steve chatting with Dave Holmes outside the dressing room and suddenly feel like a star-struck teenager. In order to get the gall up to speak to the guy, I down a double espresso. The mixture of caffeine buzz and feeling like a cheesy little fanboy means that all I can manage to say to him is "Thank you so much". I realise that I'm quite simply making a tit of myself and so excuse myself as fast as I appeared.
With that, I suddenly have sympathy for every nervous and excitable kid that shakes hands with the band at a meet and greet.
As Macrumors notes, this is the first siting of Jobs outside the Cupertino office and assuming the roadie wasn't having an LSD-induced hallucination, it would appear that Jobs is in "recognizable condition"...which is good news for us all.
Way to ease the liver back into the scene with something lite.

Did the headline change, or are you lot a bunch of thin-skinned pains in the asses? It didn't say "Steve Jobs is sniffing lines of HGH off of the cadaver of unwilling Chinese organ donors, backstage with Coldplay".
Be happy the man is (apparently) improving in his health, and try not to cry if he gets called names by a big mean writer.

I no longer have any patience with fanboys who gush about how they can't imagine doing their job on anything but a Mac. The truth is, you certainly could. And after a while you'd more than likely get used to it. Personal preference for a certain way of doing things should not be confused with the ability to do them. Computers are merely tools, nothing more. And these days they're all pretty easy to use.

they were implying what goes on at those sorts of concerts (i went to coldplay in june in noblesville indiana... lots of weed) i doubt they were implying anything about the way mr. jobs lives his life, which is his business anyway.

The photo 9to5 included is not of the Shoreline Amphitheater where the encounter took place near San Francisco, but is of the Gorge Amphitheater in eastern Washington State and has nothing to do with the encounter at all.

Steve Jobs does not have
Steve Jobs does not have respect for people who invested in him at an early age, he does not respect the law (he brazenly drives without a license plate), he does not play ethically (stock options), and he doesn't operate humanely (contractor conditions in US and worldwide) while they have 30 billion in the bank. He follows the motto of "do as thou wilt." He doesn't care about Apple enthusiasts. He cares about selling them his fantastical contraptions and being adulated and then dismissing the same people who adulate him as the ignorant masses. He could not care less about this headline or what anyone thinks of him or his borrowed liver.
