Free iPhone (and MacBook?) Wifi at Starbux...
We don't have to tell you that in Safari you can enable Show Develop menu in menu bar (Prefs/advanced) then go to Develop/Useragent iPhone to get free wifi on your MacBook do we?
Update: The fine folks in the comments have pointed out that yes, you will need to have an AT&T iPhone account to do this. Is there anyone left who doesn't?
Update 2: OK, the easiest way to do this is to download a MAC address spoofer and once you legitimize your iPhone, change your MacBook Airport MAC address to be the same as your iPhones. This is much quicker and easier than typing the URL sent by AT&T.

You fill in a form and get a link - in an SMS message.
Apparently the author didn't try this...
You have to respond to an SMS on your iPhone, something not really possible on a MacBook Safari browser set to iPhone.
What you both neglected to pay attention to is it prompts you for your 10 digit phone number in which case it will message your IPHONE on which you can activate your service. Seth is supposing that you would already own an iphone and have AT&T service. Sorry folks. FAIL
Note: I was referring to entering the number while on your macbook and answering the SMS on your iphone
It could check and lock to the MAC address of the device that click the link in the SMS. If that is the case then only iPhone can be used. Unless you read and type that link back into MacBook Safari...
tethering ?
You cant tether on the iPhone, Unless you have NetShare like I do, but the iPhone cant be connected to your MacBook's Wi-Fi and the AT&T Wi-Fi. Unless you have a hacked iPhone with a Bluetooth, or wired tether.
what about ipod touch users?? that wouldnt be fair to make it only iphone
heh, fair to AT&T?
unless you plan on spending more than a couple of hours a day at a sbux you can always just register a starbucks card and get 2hrs a day for free. plus UNLIMITED free drip coffee
