MacBook Air SSD in two sizes?

The French Applestore has some interesting details on their website.

According to the French Apple Store Translated into English :

Using a technology similar to the iPod nano and other products to flash memory, MacBook Air incorporates for the first time a disk SSD (solid-state drive). Available in two capacities, these discs contain no removable parts and accessing data much faster than standard hard drives, which translates into a significant improvement in performance when running the computer and opening files and applications. In addition, the SSD drives offer better durability and better preserve the data in case of accidental fall.

Was Apple planning to make the SSD Drive in the MacBook Air available in two sizes?  IS another option coming up?  What other size should they have offered?  48Gb?  128 Gb? Or it could be a typo?  Look for it to change shortly.  Picture after the break...

Probably just bad writing, and they're referring to the 80gB & 64gB - but I'd love to see a 32gB or 48gB Air. (and a 128gB flash drive of that size would be crazily expensive, if it's even available)

yeah 128 are available saw them at CES in the samsung booth

As soon as they definitely use Samsungs, yes, they are originally available in 2 capacities, 32Gb and 64Gb. Probably, they will offer the 32Gb version only in Europe just to make an SSD-enabled laptop cheaper. Apple has an old tradition of leaving the same price tag for Europe, but changing currency from US$ to EUR. Paying attention to the current exchange rate of approx. $1.5 for EUR1 even business people in Europe will hardly opt for US$4500 laptop with just one USB port just to have SSD onboard. Any other opinions?

Has anybody else noticed the slight inconsistencies in the product naming with lower and uppercase?
ie: iPod nano/classic/touch; MacBook Air/Pro

....

The same "bad transcription" can be found in the spanish Apple Store online: http://es.appleweblog.com/2008/01/16/¿dos-discos-ssd-diferentes-para-el-macbook-air/

It could be because 128gig drives are in short supply/unavailable at the moment and they plan to make them available at a later date, but a 128gig Air would be very "pricey" indeed.

I would have loved a 160G drive, just like in the iPod Classic, and 4G memory. I think that should have been the standard config for a whopping $1800.

I've only seen 2.5" 128GB SSD for sale and those are over US$3000 retail.

1.8" 128GB SSD may have been announced, but I don't think you can buy one yet.

I'm not sure SSD prices will drop as rapidly as everyone thinks - most use of flash is at signficantly lower capacities (i.e. 8GB memory card) than at the capacities typically used for notebook hard drives (80GB and up)

Nor do I see any quick answers on the 1.8" hard drive front - the hard drive uses a single platter design of 80GB (no room for an extra platter), and I haven't seen any announcements about higher-capacity 1.8" platters (for an extra 3mm in height, Apple could have offered a 160GB, 2-platter drive)

So the Macbook Air could be stuck at either 80GB or 64GB for some time, even in revision 2.
