Apple has reportedly begun seeding Build 10D522 of Mac OS X 10.6.3 to a limited set of developers, marking the first official beta version of the third maintenance release for Mac OS X Snow Leopard, MacRumors informs.

Apple has addressed approximately 225 issues in the update, which reportedly weighs in at roughly 666 MB. The company is asking developers to focus their efforts on around 90 system components.

666MB? Sort of defeats the smaller install size of SL, doesn't it?

Well see, it's not just putting those in there, it's replacing files, so it doesn't really change the install size. and hey, if it fixes, these problems, they can have it as big as they want.

Fuck that shit! Let's just hope that this finally fixes the screen flickering issues on the Late 2008 MacBook Pros - caused by Snow Leopard 10.6.2 -

I hope that they hurry it the fuck up already! 4,000 complaints on Apple Discussions not incentive enough? fuck!

Still no fix for the crackly USB audio on the MBP...

No updated Magic Mouse settings?  COME ON!

just download a free piece of software called magic prefs:

http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/magicprefs.html

it lets you customize every function of the magic mouse including clicks, taps, pinches, and swipes with whatever you want. way better than the crappy mouse prefs apple has for default.

There is a graphics problem with NVidia cards that dates back over a year, where it lags and reduces frame rate of all core graphics services unless. It seems to be an issue with OSX putting the graphics in Idle mode or something, try it with your expose and dashboard I bet there's loads of you out there that haven't even realised you have a problem, switch between expose and desktop several times and watch as the graphics suddenly become smooth after about 5 tries.

This is a major issue with no fix and there doesn't seem to be any plan to address it, it was there in Leopard and is still there in Snow leopard 10.6.2.

It's normal for nvidia cards, and it's result of using PowerMizer, which is NVIdias power saving feature build in their graphic cards. It's same on Windows laptops with cards supporting this feature and having it enabled (ie. Geforce 9400M in Dell XPS 1210). Basically it reduces speed of the core until graphic power is needed. Saves you a lot of battery and fan noise....

@Alex the Greek

This is not an NVidia problem. I have the same problem with my 2008 iMac which has a ATI Radeon 2400.

Nothing on the constant Airport connection drops? Eff! I'm getting those 30, 40 times a day since SL. WTF?

Or someone please tell me that's what "Resolves some panics in networking." means. Please say yes.

BootCamp update are welcome also !! but maybe we can expected for 2011 ! ?

I am really disappointed : I do a heavy use of Spaces since Leopard. And since Snow Leopard, it is completely useless : first window of a newly-launched application opens in correct predefined Space, while next windows open in current Space, whichever it is. Really useless, and never corrected. To the point that I am more and more thinking about downgrading to Leopard, until this point is once and for all corrected. Other benefits of Snow Leopard are of no use to me, if major functions are useless...

"Let's just hope that this finally fixes the screen flickering issues on the Late 2008 MacBook Pros - caused by Snow Leopard 10.6.2 -"

Do you have third party RAM? There is some evidence that this problem is RAM related.

Nah Dude... I have Apple RAM that came with the MBP. This is issue has been well documented at Apple Discussions over many, many threads/complaints.

Thanks for the suggestion though!

Cheers!

Fuck that shit!

Pretty limited vocabulary!   :)

Fuckin right on, my friend! Who needs a fuckin vocabulary these days? All you need is fuck!

...this will be an evil update.  If you're a devil worshipper, this update's definitely for you.

For all of you complainers out there maybe you should pay attention and read. These are the 90 issues they asked developers to focus on. NOT all 225! Please read before you assume they have not worked on your issue.

Please go fuck yourself!

No, you go fuck yourself! :)

SMB shares needs to fuckin show up in fuckin Finder sidebar automatically without having to use the fuckin "connect to server". Fuck.

I was looking for a solution for the snow leopard issue where it can't appropriately deal with file names that have accentuated characters (when connecting to an smb server).

So it's a known issue that's being fixed. I hope! It just drives me nuts searching and failing to find a fix.
