Singtel iPhone for Singapore, India, the Philippines and Australia
That Apple’s preparing a global iPhone roll-out and moving away from its present exclusive network strategy looks even clearer this morning, with news of new network deals and the disappearance of preceding iPhone models from the US and UK Apple Store.
Mobile network Singtel this morning made its own iPhone announcement, saying: “SingTel, Bharti Airtel, Globe and Optus today announced that they have signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to Singapore, India, the Philippines and Australia later this year.”
This news follows Vodafone’s announcement last week that it will introduce iPhone in India and Australia, along with eight other countries.
Singtel kept it brief, promising, “more information will be released at a later date.”

How about Hong Kong?
iPhones rule the Kong!
Looks like Apple is getting ready to take over the world. I just hope their production line is up to the task.
Despite Globe’s 21 million subscribers in the Philippines, only 3.5% are actually post paid (700+k) so it’s not much of a market.

gud day..i want to ask when will be the release of 3g iphone here in the philippinessince it launch in the US last july 11 and how much will it cost?..
is it true that the Apple iPhone 3G will be released in certain markets this coming august 22, 2008? in which countries will it be available? the Philippines is included in the "coming soon" list in the apple website. Will the Philippines be included in the August 22, 2008 launch? there's still no word on the price though. for sure they're going to offer it in the high-end plans. I just hope they could give good rates on existing subscribers. I won't be buying anytime soon though. i still want to wait for all the bugs to be resolved before i get my hands on one. i just got back from the states, and the apple genius (apple employees attending to customers' question)in the apple store still prefers the older iphone than this just released 3g model.
