Worm hits Jailbroken iPhones (and iPod Touches) with SSH enabled + no default password changeIf you've jailbroken your iPhone and enabled SSH, change your default password! Reports from Sophos indicate that another hack is spreading that uses this obvious vulnerability to Rick Roll Jailbreakers with the wallpaper pictured below. Sophos, being a security vendor, states the obvious: If you leave your iPhone open like this, literally everything in it including email and bank passwords are vulnerable. This one is currently circulating around Australia but nothing is preventing it from spreading overseas. Jailbreakers who've been hacked will see the wallpaper (above) with the phrase "ikee [the name of the hacker] is never going to give you up" at the top. Best to do a restore at this point and change your password if you are going to jailbreak! Instructions on changing your iPhone's default password below How to change your iPhone root password: Step 1: If you haven’t installed MobileTerminal yet, go to Cydia and look for “MobileTerminal” and install the app, then reboot your iPhone. Step 2: Lanch MobileTerminal and type su and hit return. Step 3: You will be asked to enter your current password. Your default password is alpine so, type alpine and hit return. Step 4: You are now inside your iPhone. We are now going to change the root password. Typepasswd and hit return. Make sure you type passwd correctly. Step 5: You will be aske to enter a new password. Type whatever you want for your new password and hit return. Step 6: You will be asked to enter your new password again. Do that and hit return. That’s it. Change PASSWORD !
How to change your iPhone root password:
Step 1: If you haven’t installed MobileTerminal yet, go to Cydia and look for “MobileTerminal” and install the app, then reboot your iPhone.
Step 2: Lanch MobileTerminal and type su and hit return.
Step 3: You will be asked to enter your current password. Your default password is alpine so, type alpine and hit return.
Step 4: You are now inside your iPhone. We are now going to change the root password. Typepasswd and hit return. Make sure you type passwd correctly.
Step 5: You will be aske to enter a new password. Type whatever you want for your new password and hit return.
Step 6: You will be asked to enter your new password again. Do that and hit return.

Check in Cydia
Just open cydia, click manage, then click packages and scroll down to 'O', looking for OpenSSH. If you don't have it in that list, its not installed.
You can also search for it in cydia, if its got a green check next to it, its probably installed.

What if I just used Pwnage Tool to create a custom firmware that only activates my iPhone and neither installs Cydia, iCy or any unlock solution. Is my iPhone still jailbroken then?
