iPhone 3GS has new oleophobic screen

Full of trans fat, you know ... be afraid. Be very afraid.

Instructions should say "Avoid getting moisture in openings - unless you want to void your warranty!" I would never purposely put water on the screen after hearing about several people sweating on theirs and triggering the moisture sensors. I certainly hope they change the sensitivity on those. Dropping it in a toilet is one thing, dripping sweat is another.

And they're missing that fact that the 3GS can switch between apps much faster because it has twice the ram and probably a much faster processor. And it can play music while you're using Safari without crashing because it has more ram. And when you're in Safari you can have many more tabs open without having to reload the page every time you switch tabs because it has more ram. And I'm willing to bet the pictures and video are a million times better because of the 3MP camera and the autofocus lens. And the better battery life. And then the faster 7.2 HSPA 3G connection when it comes out. And for those of us who still have a first gen model who were waiting for features other then just 3G, this is a significant update. And with the compass I'm sure game developers will be able to add some cool features.

Just because it doesn't look amazingly different doesn't mean it's a bad product. You can say it's "just" a better camera, and "just" a compass,  and "just" better quality video, and "just" better battery life. But really the only difference between the first gen and the 3G was literally only the addition of GPS and 3G. That's it. Two features, one of which causes much lower battery life and higher monthly bills. So really the jump from the second to third gen is much, much more significant than the jump from the first to second gen. The only thing bugging you crybaby 3G owners is the contract you signed into a year ago that says that AT&T subsidized the cost of the phone and you need to pay them back for it for another 6 to 8 months before you can get a new phone at a super cheap price again, where you'll sign up for a new contract and then complain again next June when a new model comes out and you can't upgrade again.
