Hopefully. The 17" is to expensive - I just need the 15" (which is a nice machine), but with that mirror display I won't buy it.

same here, just want the 15" with a non-glossy display. even the 13" macbook with a non-glossy display would be nice
The non-removable battery in
The non-removable battery in the 17-inch is not good enough.. We want a battery that is long-lasting (adaptive charging) and removable. This on top of Optical Drive removed in place of 2nd HD and SD Card slot option WOULD BE GREAT.
Impossible, in other words.
Impossible, in other words.

just equalize the quality of screens on all Macbooks with Macbook Pros. The reason I'm going to biy Macbook Pro is only because of the damn inferior screen in Macbooks. Seriously, Macbook screens look like one of these $499 laptops you see in Bestbuy; narriw viewing angles and no color fidelity. Just fix this and I'll be happy
....
Apple shouldn't bother refreshing the damn macbook.. it wasn't that long ago when it was... Time for new products.. f*** refreshing things. NETBOOK. TABLET... NEWWWWWW

This really could happen. Have you read about the wind u115? Small but fast ssd and normal HD combo. To pair a fast 32 or 64gb ssd (loaded with the OS and main applications) with a traditional HD (loaded with itunes, photos, etc) could really be done and as proven in the wind u115 gives great battery life and great speed. right now it can be done on a macbook pro with an express34 card ssd. but to have the option using a small pci-e or 1.8" ssd to save space paired with a traditional HD gives many of the benefits of SSD with out the much higher cost. tight.
Snow Leopard will help
Using the new ZFS file system having two hard drives will be a snap to deal with. There may even be some optimizations used to put more frequently used items on the faster disk (OS, music) because it also uses less power. Too bad ZFS won't be fully baked for the Snow Leopard release (server yes, regular version no)
I voted for huge battery but
I voted for huge battery but removing the optical for just a firewire port and an expresscard slot would be great.
Huh, no RAM option?
I'd like the Air to officially support up to 4GB RAM.
I'd like the Pro 15" to officially support up to 8GB RAM.
Other than that, if the unibody 13" isn't gonna give us FW, a third USB port wouldn't hurt... and I could see value in an SDHC slot.
It´s official!
The MBP 15" does already officially support up to 8GB RAM!
