is video recording so important to you? if so why don't you get a proper sony hi-def camcorder?

i'm sure that video recording is in the works at apple probably together with a bumped up camera lens in the next release. but how many people out there actually use their phone to record video? and how good can the quality be. i used to use n95, the video recording was "awesome", but the battery flats in less than an hour!

i don't quite get it why people always complain about what they don't have never appreciate the so much more they already have? why don't people like you go back to the stone age then you have nothing to bitch about!

I can tell you why.
Because they are spoiled little brats. Never contributed and never will to society besides bitching why something sucks. If it doesn't have all the features 20 other gadgets have combined it's not good. I usually just ignore them since you can't argue with people who own the corner of truth.
"It can't record video" - It's a f*cking phone, guess what, it can't teleport you either!
Jailbreak it if you really need that feature.

 I hear you on one level.  I was one who bitched and moaned about no copy and paste.  Maybe I just got used to living without it, or really didn't need it as much as I thought, but now that it's available (via Cydia jailbreak) and installed on my phone, I think I've used it a whopping two times (other than testing/playing).  Apple was right, I really could live without it.  On the other hand, if the masses demand it, Apple should try to provide it.

I disagree with you on video recording.  I made videos with my Palm Treo 700p all the time.  It's a feature I really missed on my iPhone.  I actually purchased the app iphonevideorecorder for jailbreakers (and have tried Cycorder (free); I prefer the paid app, and use it several times per week.  You're not going to make home videos with the iPhone, but for a couple of minutes clip of someone doing something funny in public, or of some demonstration, it's just fine.  Doesn't kill my battery, but I always dock in the car or office during the day, and also have one of those mophie juicepacks (highly recommended if you have a 3G iPhone).
