Carefully Planned

I am a big fan of Steve Jobs , a very very clever man.

BUT I do not for one second believe all this happened on the run. I think every step of the way, all the announcements , emails were all a carefully planned process to appear to be casual.

Think about it .. what would have happened if out of the blue he pulled out. As it turns out it has been a gradual process with no big blow.

A less clever company would have tried to continue with Mac World .. Apple and Jobs had the brains to see that better to end it as they were never going to be able to replace the magic if steve's distortion field.

I hope that he remains as

I hope that he remains as Apple's CEO. He has been nothing but good for the company. He brought them up from one of their lowest points in history. How many CEOs do their own press releases when a new product is released? He really is an important part of Apple. With that said I also think that he has the company set up so well that it can function at 100% even if he is not there. Between his highly skilled executive team and the companies very efficient modus operand, I have no doubt that the company would be fine. There are two certain things:
1)The stock price would plunge due to the news
2)We all wish the best for Mr. Steve Jobs. He has been the pioneer behind the computer that is the backbone of our daily life.

Just one last product

i think Jobs will continue to be the CEO til the end of the year. He will introduce a Macbook with a multi touch screen. He has to! He needs to do it because he represents the future of the computer (design, process of manufacturing, ...) and now the mobile market. With a Macbook Touch, it is a totally new era that comes to us and he must be part of it. After doing this, he can rest in peace, the whole world will remember him as the genius who changes the world..

1) he's fifty three. he's having health issues but nobody said he's kicking the can. don't talk like he's dead.

2) introducing A macbook touch as his final innovation would be a poor move on Jobs' part, and I do not believe he would do it. the hp touchsmart computer is an absolutely terrible creation, maybe built just to show apple that not everything should be touch screen. fingerprints will wreck the screens and the closeness to the screen and the angle at which your arms need to be- and your neck if it were flat on your lap- would cause extraordinary discomfort. and issues. he doesn't need to make something "great" to go out in a blaze of glory, he's done more for this company than what could have been priorly imagined. His legacy, if he retires, will be one of impeccable mastery.

God, I hope so.

Steve needs to go

He is the personification of Apple and that is a bad thing, for obvious reasons. I hope he doesn't return and Apple.

It's the transition that is

It's the transition that is going on he will not continue as CEO but be a Super-Adviser. He'll create a new company for something fancy with Apple.

The comment about it being

The comment about it being "carefully planned" just makes me think... maybe this is like Fidel Castro down in Cuba. (Ok, seriously, I don't think this is going to happen.) First it's something minor, then his brother comes in to take over for a little while, and then we never hear from him again. I think Steve is stealing his plays from Cuba! :) Just playin' the speculation game while we're at it.

Wish him the best, but Apple will be fine when he some day steps down. They're not the Borg after all.
