Tech Crunch reports that Microsoft's Stephen Elop slipped and admitted to Tim O'Reilly that there was a version of MS Office coming for iPhone.  He then backtracked a bit.

We've got the video - but it is a half hour long talking about Microsoft Office and we can't watch for more than a few minutes.  We're going to crowd source this one.  At what time does he talk about the iPhone?  Leave it in the comments and you win!  Update: 5:35 is the good stuff.

It is too nice outside.

5:35 is the first mention of Office on the iPhone from Elop. He talks about the facebook app on the iPhone before he mentions this though.

The iPhone shouldnt have MS Office, it just wouldnt work, especially with the established OS on the iPhone.

I wouldnt buy it or upgrade to it

Not exactly a slipup

I didn't see anyone "slip up" and "admit to having a version" of anything. I saw an executive try to generate some interest for something they don't have yet using one word, "yet". That could mean a number of things.

1. They're considering it and may even have a small group looking into it. (most likely)

2. The exec is not as crazy as Ballmer and is willing to admit the iPhone is great, and hopes his company will develop for it, but currently they're not. (also equally as likely)

3. They have a version and are shipping soon and the exec made the mistake of hinting at it (highly unlikely).

I think it's safe to say every large company is considering the possibilities of the iPhone platform right now. That doesn't make any of it news really.
