I've got it down to 15 minutes now
If you've got an older MacBook Pro (the ones that didn't ship with 802.11n), you might as well pick up a new WiFi chip for about ($40) to swap out while in there to replace/upgrade the drive.
That was my original upgrade to my MBP before upgrading the hard drive to a larger one; and the procedure's about identical since the WiFi chip is right next to the drive.
P.S. your captchas are getting out of control. Working on my 4th attempt.
sorry, the robots are getting them in 2
It seems nobody can life without a Swiss Army Knive... McGiver leads the way... :-)
It's actually really easy, I used to do them almost as quickly as macbook HDs
also, now that i watched the video what he does with the swiss army knife with the front of the macbook pro is actually not a good idea. you should just lift from the back at an angle and the clips in the front will release with a little click/pop sound
i wouldnt want to jimmy with a tool like he does since you could damage the top case bezel
I wish apple would make it easier to work on your own computer. There is nothing worse than going into an apple store and speaking with a 'Genius'...
Did this a couple of days ago and made a time lapsed video.
Not the same picture quality, but still..
