MacBook Mini shows up in Adium logs?

How badly do you want to believe?  Badly enough to disregard the fact that it would take someone three seconds to fake a computer signature in an Adium log?  Yes, we want to believe too, so there it is to your right.   Remember, we outed the MacBook Air this way back in January of 2008.  But those logs happened before the "Something is in the Air" signs were trotted out so it lent a bit of legitimacy to the whole thing.

Also remember, the shots we found (more pics below) were named MacBook Mini and this could be a copycat-type of incident.

Could Apple have made the same stupid mistake twice?  Perhaps.

No.

When this thing hits the shops, it will end the longest tease in corporate history. Release the thing already.

Guys what the hell.. There will be a Macbook mini but it is a tablet that they will call Macbook mini because the iTablet name is been handled too much lately that Apple will not use it. Macbook Mini is the Tablet. Mark my words.

...not, if we HANDLE your words a lot ;)

What's with the weird markings on the keyboard, is this the Russian version of the mini?

Not for nothing, but how many of us WIND users have spoofed our netbooks into thinking they're MacBook Airs?

Why are there Russian alphabet markings on the keyboard?

Apple would price this starting at $3,999.

Macbook Mini won't have a trackpad. The screen is the trackpad. This is a fake.

Mistake? Not twice in a row.

If this ends up being true, then it was no mistake. These rumors sites provide some of the best publicity ever for Apple. Starve them off too much and you'll loose the equivalent of MILLIONS in advertising.

The perspective of the text "MacBook mini" does not match the perspective of the overall image. The images have exaggerated perspective while the text vertical.

According to Russian Magazine "Mobi" admitted that in their Blog: http://blog.mobi.ru/?p=121

That is stunning, best mock up I've seen yet. If they ever make anything like this I would buy it.

Just to prove how easy it is to change your model info, here is a screenshot of my Hackintosh, all I had to do was change a single plist. I'm guessing it was someone with a hackintosh netbook, who had a sense of humor and changed their model name. Not hard people.

Apple just can't do Netbooks. It this is true, it's a big fail until it is not cheaper than 399 $. A smaller Macbook for 800 $ or more would just be a sign of stupidity at the Apple HQ.
