We have some "MacBook Touch" information to share with you this week...Until then take a look at this video showing some concepts

A MacBook touch would be great (I wonder if it'll be convertible?). I was considering an HP tx2500 before, but now I'm definitely getting one of these.

This looks like it could have been made with one of these, but it requires a stylus and isn't multi-touch.

well that sucks. what would be the point of a trackpad if it is supposed to be "touch". my iphone doesnt have a trackpad. sorry for the spoiler, but you just spoiled it for me by basically saying it wouldnt be a full mutitouch screen.

Looks like if I buy a tablet in the near future, HP's getting my money. Apple can throw as many multitouch gestures into a glass trackpad as they want, but that doesn't make it a tablet.

here is to hoping that these are actually 2 different products. an update macbook pro, with glass trackpad, and a brand new product, the macbook touch.

I really hope that happens. If it does, then I'll bet that the tablet functionality will be built into Snow Leopard. After all, isn't 10.6 all about under the hood improvements?

Wait, a rumor about a rumor . . .
Won't all these be much better after snow leopard? Battery is essential, efficient system makes that possible. I see the convergence, but not yet.

Seems that a MacBook Touch is a good guess.

A product transition that impacts revenue might be that Apple is planning to trasform the MB in to the MBTouch.
Furthermore, "advanced tech at prices competitors can't match" seems to indicate they plan on releasing it at actual MB prices or not too high above that.

Maybe they'll intro one model and then, in the course of next year, switch to this new tech their whole line. I think a good start would be a MBPro Touch and then, as tech becomes less expensive, a MB Touch.

Interesting though. Let's see if this becomes reality or just another rumor on the web.

Would be cool if something similar materialised. Was wondering if anyone can tell me what the music track is that was used for this video. Oh, and there's a spelling mistake / typo on one of your titles... it should read 'sketching capability', not 'capablity'. And what does creating music have to do with Transformers The Movie? As much as I'd love to see any of these concept ideas come to light, this blog's "coverage" of the MBT still has the consistency of a sea sponge.

Do we have any confirmed reports, anything other than one tipster along with news from Apple about a new product or the like?

Sorry we don't have confirmed reports from Apple.  Where have you seen these again?  Oh right in 1995 maybe Apple confirmed and commented on an upcoming product.

What would make more sense?

Is there a website that keeps track of blog and their rumors? Maybe one that demonstrates which ones got it right?

look at any MacBook or MBP track pad after 18 months of use and you can see how much the pad wears. A glass interface isn't going to suffer from this. I reckon this new interface if it is true will be great. Bring it on I say!

I think it's interesting that we're hearing more about a "Macbook Touch" than we are about the rumored MBP redesign which (I thought) was closer to release than this.

Maybe a redesign isn't as close as we once thought? 9to5, does this MacBook Touch relate to the redesigns at all? Maybe they all share some common features.
