Joost hits the iPhone, Hulu and Sling to follow?
Joost isn't brimming with fantastic content, though there are some interesting titles for sure. However, it is now on the iPhone (iTunes Link). Interestingly it works only over Wifi. While this is a nice little application, it is most important because it means that slightly more exciting applications like Hulu and Slingplayer are both possible.
This class of media broadcaster seems like a great pick for the iPod touch - since AT&T isn't letting the video stream to be played over 3G. Early reports day it is more than slightly buggy but its on the store - which is the big victory

I once e-mailed Hulu about putting their videos on the iPhone and they replied with an e-mail saying that right now they're focusing on the PC and aren't really interested in other platforms at this time. Lame....
Maybe with Cydia's VoIPover3G, Joost will work w/o WiFi? Either way, I'm pumped! It's good that Apple's finally opening up the iPhone to better Apps
This could surely be done as a website.. the BBC iPlayer manages it so why not Joost.
Pity it's only over Wifi.. if I'm on Wifi I'm at home and have a TV already. It's odd that the phone with the most theoretical power to show video is the only one that doesn't support video streaming over 3G..
it does support streaming over 3G, however AT&T does not allow this.
What a joke. Went into the films section and there are no actual films just lame documentaries that nobody watched the first time around.
When Youtube claims to be getting films someday and that's build into the iphone and - more importantly - doesn't crash the moment you actually try to play anything - joost is too little *way* too late.
so i should now be able to connect my dock (which has my ipod touch) to my tv using those special component cables, and watch joost on my tele. this is a very good thing :) the content is there, they just have terrible search functions.
