'Objectified' clip profiles Jony Ive & includes lots of shots of his lab at Apple
His voice now reminds us of/makes this seem like an Apple ad...which it sort of is. Might want to watch this quick, it might not be up for long.

This guy is a genius, plain and simple. Apple would not be where they are without him.
Does Jonathan Ive speak another language besides english? Rate negative for no positive for yes please,
The entire film "Objectified" is pretty awesome. You can rent it from Netflix. If you're into amazing gadjets and other industrial design I highly recommend watching this film. Of course Jony Ive does an amazing job describing his Apple products, he is such a great pitch-man. Steve Jobs better keep making him happy because he does design amazing things for Apple.
or actually buy the DVD and get a great package designed by Build.
Bit ironic renting a non physical version of a DVD about objectification?
Jony Ive is the reason I'm going to school to major in industrial design, I wasn't sure about it until I saw this film, and then I saw that he had the same views about the field, I expected him to have superior views, but then when I saw it, it gave me goosebumps and now I feel I can work at Apple when I'm done in 2012.
That is so obviously *not* Ive's "lab" or anything like it.
Just sayin. ;)
They look to be cnc machining..eh..machines. Why wouldn't they be Apple's?
the CNC lab you see ive talking from here is very probably part of a rapid prototyping facility in or near cupertino; while the use of a lot of CAED tools negates the need to do many physical iterations of a product or device there's nothing quite like feeling it in your hand during the design process. very interesting piece; i enjoy the fact that he'd put as much effort and zen into creating just about anything. i'd love to see what he'd do with a bike.

Wait, did I see an Unibody Macbook Pro with a removeable battery?
yes. like it was before the built in battery version.
interesting.
he's wearing the same t-shirt in this video and in the 7 minutes video apple has of the new iMac.
This guy is not only a genius, he's a very hot piece of man :D.
