Is that a 15 inch MacBook Air?
Gary Hustwit got to visit Jonny Ive at Apple's prototyping facility for his upcoming documentary Objectified. Jonny is holding a regular MacBook Air, but what is that next to him? It looks a little bigger... but probably isn't. Anyway, it is interesting to take a quick peek at where the magic happens.
Doubtful that Apple/Jonny would let Hustwit walk away with a picture of a prototype...But those are some pretty sweet waterjets in the background. See Jony in the trailer here.

How about a Pro? We can't really see the thickness...
MPB has no button.
hes talking about the closed one, where we can see neither the thickness nor the button
That's what I said (I'm the first guy haha)
Looks like the new MBP
MPB has no button.
if you read the article, it acknowledges that the computer being held is a current macbook air, but the computer in question is the one in the bottom right of the screen. by the way, we all know that the macbook pro has no button. common knowledge.
It's not bigger. Sorry to put a damper on your nerd dreams, but its really not. Chill out.
Your right if it was 15" it'd have speakers on the left and right of the keyboard.
Doing a few measurments in GIMP shows that it is approximately 15 inches if you base your measurment off of the fact that the keyboard it is sitting on is approximately 17 inches. My vote goes to the 15" MBP, but it does have an odd shadow...
iThink, iMac, therefore iAm
13" MacBook Air - MPB has no button.
15" would have speakers either side. Not a huge keyboard!
what a stupid answer
MBP.
You dumbasses.
It's not. My MBP put aside my Alu Keyboard spans from the numpad 1 to the left end of the keyboard.
That 13,3" MBA spans from the numpad 1 to the left shift, so shut up.
Hope dupree was joking stupidly... :)
As someone who works in product design, I wish I had access to facilities like that!
he is a good looking brit for sure.
He definitely doesn't fit the computer nerd stereotype. More like computer stud.
Obviously it's not a new Macbook Pro, it does not have the new trackpad. Only the Macbook Air still has the separate clicker. If you think Jony Ive would show off an unreleased product, you've lost it.
For everyone saying "It can't be the new MBP because the new MBP doesn't have a button" re-read the post at the top, it confirms Johnny is holding a Macbook Air. However, it's the closed notebook on the desk in front of him everyone is speculating about, which I doubt is a 15" MBA.
"Jonny is holding a regular MacBook Air, but what is that NEXT to him?"
Not the one he's holding stupid.
Did anyone even read the little report before looking at the photo??? It says, "Johnny is holding a REGULAR Macbook Air, but what is that NEXT to him?" Most of you people are commenting on the one in his hand, which they TOLD us is a regular Macbook air! They're asking about the closed computer on the desk!
Johnny Ive is pretty good looking... lets see more of him!
I did the simulation using the keyboard as a ruler.

yes it's another macbook Air 13"
Yup, seems clear.
Good investigation job there
Pleaaaaaase guys... http://www.nowhereelse.fr/photo-du-macbook-air-15-pouce-non-15358/
Haha now a french site is making fun of you but they are actually WRONG themselves saying it is a Pro whereas it seems clear it is a MBA. They even post a picture trying to prove it and it is obviously not relevant. Funny.
What we learned today:
Andrew Chalkey posts comments before reading articles.
Haha no offence mate
And look there, next to his ear it's the new Octo-Core iMac with full touch-screen! And unlike those cheap PCs it comes with handles on *both* sides!
And there on the desk behind him it's the new iRobot coming soon to an Apple store near you!
It's so nice that Steve's gone and they don't have to worry about all that draconian secrecy any more.
