Mr. Jobs has a pretty loyal following amongst Apple employees. Why else would they work those long hours for mediocre pay? Jordan Golson tapped Glassdoor, the salary and employer review site, to see just how much love Apple employees had for fearless leader. They rate Apple and Jobs vs other technology industry companies and their leaders.

It turns out that Jobs gets 91% approval vs. 3% disapproval while AT&T's (who currently are having union issues incidentally) Randall Stephenson gets 30% approval against 35% disapproval. While Jobs leads CEOs in approval, Apple trails behind companies like Google and Adobe overall.
There just might be a correlation between customer satisfaction and employee approval.

Satisfation?
Maybe a typo there.
looks like that article on
looks like that article on mediocre pay is out of date. I just looked at glassdoor and the salary of apple employees has raised 10 grand since that link was published. not to mention the stock purchase plan with apple has performed great. Compare with google going from 700 to the 40s, Microsoft stock has done nothing over the past 5 years. Yahoo is in the shitter.
Dumb Survey
what would you say about your CEO compared with others in the industry (that you've never worked for).
Get a real article.
If they gave a bad rating Jobs would have probably had the survey rigged and fired them because he's an arrogant bastard.
I don't know if he was right
I don't know if he was right about Microsoft, but I do know that anyone who has every worked for Apple below the executive level has likely given more than they gotten back because it is all about Apple NS0-163 certification. That doesn't mean that working at Apple wasn't a great trip for almost all of them. They will tell you it was an amazing journey. The unfortunate thing is that the journey almost always ends with disillusionment and sadness instead of pride of accomplishment. Of course that changes if you are an Apple executive in which case the story ends in riches and if you are rich, I guess you don't have to care about all the people you have mismanaged over the years or the market share that might have been.
What about Ballmer?
I just wish that Steve Ballmer was on this list... I would love to see what the worker bees think of him!
