iPods are in healthy supply (update: mostly)

Reports around the Internet say that Amazon and others are having problems keeping up with demand on iPods.  A quick check around refutes this claim to a degree, as Amazon has all models in stock and ready to ship - tho sometimes they are from affiliates.  There are a few outages here and there but overall, they appear to be in good supply.  But, just in case, if you have holiday iPod aspirations, you may want to pick up something now.

The iPod Touches available here and through other sellers. The ones through Amazon.com itself and not available.

Best Buy is out of stock of the nano on at least 5 colors.

Amazon is now selling thru resellers and not out of their own supply so yes and yes

Best Buy - some are a week behind...but not all - hardly a widespread shortage.  Send us a link to Amazon, we can't find anything.

The 8GB and 16GB Touches are both shipping in 3 to 5 weeks from Amazon.com . Look in the right hand column in the "More Buying Options" section from the links you supplied.

Apple rocks the season! People aren't spending money on junk for Christmas this year...they're buying quality products. Apple is going to be the one standing when the dust settles and Mike Dell is selling pencils out of a tin cup.
