The Rodolphe Desmare is, I think, the most "possible" next iPhone, even though I don'y believe in iChat and I think it would be useless. But these other ones, some of them very thick and above all very angular (Sorry if it doesn't exist, I'm French, I think I mean "edgy") don't correspond to Apple design in mt opinion. The Tracy Hall one is also great I had never seen it, interesting because when people talked of an iPhone Nano everyone thought of a smaller iPhone (but same design) and this one is actually great and corresponds to a Nano concept...

even though the touch keyboard is kinda cool and apple is NEVER gonna go for a realkeyboard now (after boasting how smart they are to not include any hardware keys) Id still love a keyboard.
Dont get me wrong the next iphone is already bought by me no matter what it looks like, but something like the HTC touch pro with apple design and OSX on it would be PER-FECT! (for me that is)

Yeah! People WANT 19th century technology on their 21st century devices. I wish Apple would get off this whole "innovation" push and try following the crowd for a change. Maybe then the dismal sales of iPhones would finally pick up.

I'm all about the first one, the iPhone Concept from Japan by Isamu Sanada. I think that design is beautiful, and falls in line with staying within the iPhone OS. I love the sleek cameras on the front and back as well, as I've been predicting for some time.

But I think Apple will actually make it a double sided camera, instead of using two separate front and back cameras. Both lenses will go to the same image sensor to save on cost and real estate inside the phone itself.

iPhone with iChat Concept design is very nice too, but
it does not give feeling like the others.

1. Nice, but it isn't Apple/iPhone style.
2. iPhone nano.
3. What's up with the command key?!
4. Wrong shape, not symmetrical, but otherwise pretty good.
5. Bad name, and again, what's up with fn-cmd-ctrl? Oh, and it would be 64 GB, not 60 GB.
6. Not bad, but a) remove the gloss from the gaming keys and b) it ain't Apple.
7. I agree, beautiful. But either have rounded corners or don't not this odd combination of the two. It can get away without the symmetry, too.
8. Ew no. This is just wrong.
9. Ew nano.
10. Really slick, but also incredibly impractical.

There are some nice mockups but a few things that will never happen:

-a phyisical keyboard (get over it people)
-a huge camera sticking out the back (it's a phone people, you're not supposed to make holiday photos with it)
-iPhone nano (at least not this generation)

And the last three designs are just plain stupid, even though the last is very cool.

I don't think apple will drastically change the design, I just think it will be slimmer (think iPod Touch ;)), less room around the screen and I think that's pretty much it apart from the obvious hardware differences.

I think the picture is showing a mechanical zoom in extended position.
I actually think that's going to have to be an upcoming feature if phone cameras are going to get beyond pixel count and god-awful digital zoom to 'improve' pictures.
Remember folks... its not about pixel count... its about lens quality. That's the next frontier.

people have been commenting on the camera. I for one think that apple needs to beef up their camera. apple has always boasted their media and how apple is about fun not spread sheets. almost every phone on the market has a camera equal to or better than apples. nokia is coming out with an 8 megapixel camera with a carl zeis flash. granted its a bit chunkier but apple needs to get a better camera in (just a little better)
I know theyre never going to kill the aesthetics with a full fledged flash but they could put an led flash next to the lens or a fun idea would be to make the apple logo on the back light up as a flash like it does on the back of the clam shells of the laptops.
