So... they mentioned that you could leave a message for your friends at the airport, and they can get it when they get there? So, is it using GPS, or image identifying to do so? And if it's the latter (as the demo implies) how is perspective handled? Does this work like Photosynth? I'm totally confused about this. If I tag an object in the real work via my phone's camera, if someone is standing on the other side of the object, how does this person get to see the tag?

I don't know about you, but if something's on sale, I'd rather find out about it first, rather than having to walk around the store with my iPhone. I wouldn't make a trip to the store first to find out what's on sale.

Someone needs to interview this company. This is amazing. I am shocked it is capable of such real-time information display... how does it know what you're looking at so quickly? I get it all location specific so GPS would tell the camera where it was, but it's recognizing store fronts and products via the camera, that type of image recognition at that speed is amazing... seriously amazing.
An ingenious concept! It means building (by tagging) a totally new virtual dimension. Anybody knows, how far are they from releasing it?

Isn't this the concept of augmented reality that we've heard about on TV? But honestly, I call it fake. :) No way the iPhone is powerful enough to handle the perspective issue, as one of the poster mentioned.
