7a238j or The pictured above???
new baseband
where can I download the BETA OS from?
You have to be a registered developer to get it. I've heard talk of it being set up for jailbroken phones but haven't looked into it because I don't need to. It's a little buggy anyhow, so you might want to wait til June when it comes out as a public release.

this has been there since the first beta
New options for double click of home button:
Home
Search
Phone Favorites
Camera
iPod
-Maps has slightly different coloring for Wi-Fi/Cell Tower locationa
-probs more updates, maybe bug fixes, seems more smooth
-Notes now has a cool color fade when selecting a note, smoother
-Option to change "My Number" in the Phone settings
-iPod is MUCH smoother
I hope they figure out a quicker way to access spotlight. I like having the double tap for the iPod. Maybe a triple tap or a single tap option to use spotlight as new home screen.
There doesn't seem to be anything radical in the changes, doesn't everyone thrive on seeing new things, not just updates to the existing?
don't know if it's just my iphone, but after installing ATT_US.ipcc tethering shows up, but when going into general>Network>Cellular Data Network... the settings app crashes. So then can't change wap address.
Same thing happening to me too.
Has anyone tried if Skype on your Mac works while tethering with iphone OS3?
I would not be surprised if the mobile Carriers have pressured Apple to in the OS3 not only blocks skype VOIP over 3G but also include a VOIP-block in the tethering feature...
Saying that the performance is better is an understatement! The screens are much snappier, and keyboard input is not lagging. The delay to open mail and *MS were unbearable, but now are quick. Other random observations:
My MacBook is listed twice in the Bluetooth screen, where previous betas could never seem to find my devices; But, it wouldn't connect, and on the laptop, it appeared to change the status to connected, then directly back to Not Connected.
There's an empty Store Menu on the Settings page with no icon, and nothing under the sub-menu.
Apple should cut a phone deal with Verizon - under the condition that it would allow Skype over 3G.
Screw greedy AT&T
Do we know if we can put in Audiobooks on Beta 3? I know they took it out in Beta 2.
Here in Europe I uas Skype all the time on the 3 network. In fact 3 has the lowest cost for 3G that I have found. Just £10 per 1GB, renew when you want. No other restriction. Also no roaming charges in selected European coutries.
Time to sort out the Telco's - Governemt action required? The EU is on it here.
I was having trouble getting on a developers account until i found the website i linked to my name and here, http://activateiphone.webs.com/ , they sent me step by step directions and had me up and running my bricked phone in 5 minutes, they even gave me a price break since we registered 3 devices, just my 2 cents
Seems that with Beta 3 you can connect tethering with USB successfully but a lot of people are finding that you cannot connect the iphone with newer intel based aluminium Macbooks, MCP and Air. Older macs (plastic) have no problem connecting with Beta 3 iphones on bluetooth and tethering.

was a genius and bricked my iphone 2 days ago and was stuck until i found the website that i linked to my name above, just click on my name to go there. They had me up and running in no time and i now have complete access to their Apple developers account with my own user ID and password. It was worth it, just my 2 cents for anyone who is in the same boat i was.
hi,in beta 2 my network lost from mauritius and am on orange and i would like to know if beta 3 i will lose my network
