what does it take to get landscape texting?? jeez...

Want MMS, and camera zoom, and cut and paste, and video capture. And don't want to have to jailbreak to get these things.

 I don't understand why Apple can't provide basic features such as MMS or the ability to type in landscape mode while in the email application. Also why do they continue to block third party apps such as Cycorder, Snapture, etc even after receiving several requests for these features on their Apple iPhone support forum? After a year of inability to provide these features with the first iPhone and now with the iPhone 3G Apple should seriously consider firing some of their internal developer staff and hire programmers that actually know what they are doing. Otherwise let those external developers into the App Store with apps that customers have been asking for since the first iPhone was released.

I need to be able to send contacts and pictures to other iPhone users and devices via Bluetooth. I need to do basic editing of pictures (crop). I need voice dialing and voice nav. MMS I must admit I have learned to live without.

MMS? Useless. I don't know a single person that uses it- and almost all of them CAN because they don't have an iPhone! We are talking about hundreds of people in Metro Los Angeles.

Voicedialing? "Says Who" - free app out now....

Video capture, cut and paste, landscape? C'mon Steve- humble out!

MMS: Nice, used sometimes on my Nokia, can do without.
Voicedialing: Very nice, used often, especially when driving, worked very well.
By far the worst part of Iphone:
No stereo bluetooth. Unbelievable bad omission in device which is supposed to used for listening music. After using bt-headset wires feel really oldfashioned..

Bluetooth - more features. Send/recieve files, contacts etc.
(although, the bluetooth does work with ex. Parrot to sync numbers on to it and all - great!!)

Voice Dial - which are intergrated and works with Nokia/Parrot handsfree etc.

Copy/Paste (YES SIR)

Landscape keyboard - Both for SMS and Email (this should be a 5 min. job for the developers?!)

Folder creation - why cant i do folders on the desktop? And in my email? Seriously...

Video capture? Come on Apple. I've seen hacked iPhones do it and the quality is GREAT

A Voice recorder - that can record your CONVWERSATIONS!! They cannot call it a business phone without this feature. The best tool when someone fucks up on the phone.

Defining the difference in the "Recents" between not only "All" and "Lost calls" but also "recieved" and "dialed."

Sure there is more. But still, love my iPhone 3G! :)

I am sure I am the only person in the whole world who wants this (not) but why cant Apple add a simple interface to allow mail notification sound to be louder (or better yet, chose an alternate sound ala SMS notification).

Without this feature (which was available in 2.0), the email function on the iPhone is pretty lame, still requiring a manual check for email. Can't they please correct this?
