Sweet! So I can finally run Vista under boot camp with twelve readyboost flash drives!
seriously...that looks real. no, seriously
no. because if you look at the reflection in the power adaptor - it's obviously not a reflection of a USB port. I call fake. Anyone with me?
We have a careful watcher here. Stalker in the making?
no shit, sherlock.
I would buy this just for the 12 USB ports. I could put in my printer, external HD, keyboard, mouse, flash drives (2), iPod, DVD drive, pole dancer, WOOT! lights, and missile launcher all at once with one port left over!!! That gives me room for the monitor, which I'm assuming Apple will release a USB to [insert your favorite video cable here] and will charge me an extra $39 for it. Really, the only thing that upsets me is that the whole thing isn't USB powered. I mean how freakin sweet would it be if I could have an iPod-like power adapter for my whole freaking computer. Forget about anything else, USB is the new way to go for everything!!!!!
Then you could plug it into itself and have perpetual power. That'd be awesome
Combining our logic we now have an infinite power source... plug one mac mini into itself. With the 10 remaining ports reverse the wall power adapter into a power strip and viola! portable and convenient power! Take 6 or 7 of those things and put them into the grid... add the small size and convenience of transport and you can have power anywhere! Congrats Apple on solving the world's energy needs!
And to those of you who believe Apple would make an expensive USB hub, be serious. Why would they make that when they could make infinite power!
This might have been the most expensive USB hub I have ever seen.
The fractal macroblock in the inverse reflection on the lower left corner when viewed at 100X shows that this is clearly a photoshop. You don't get fractal macroblocking on an original. Also, the shadow of the box shows extreme reverse peristalsis upon close inspection.
You guys all get suckered in too easily...
Reverse peristalsis? You make me sick!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....BAHHHHAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA! THANK YOU. WOW. "the shadow of the box shows extreme reverse peristalsis upon close inspection" Oh man, I need a drink of what this guy is having. I really hope you did study this. Thanks again.
@ darren
OBVIOUSLY it went right over your head that most of these comments are meant to be sarcastic in nature and everyone completely understands that this is a fake!
Your mom is so ugly Pythagorus wouldn't touch her with a 3,4,5 triangle.
LMFAO!! Thanks for that.
I did the math (okay, not really), and my numbers indicate that you have a 67% chance of discovering the Higgs-Boson if you manage to find legitimate uses for all 12 USB ports (i.e. not foam missile launchers). If you managed to do that, you might initiate a micro-black hole which you could use to power your mini forever (just like the Romulans use them to power their cloaking devices!).
In terms of nerdisms per paragraph, that is a work of art. Bravo.
-.-'
Thanks for making light of the sometimes absurdly silly practice of rumor-mongering.
So that I can mass copy stuff to my USB memory sticks.
Even better, that's enough for 2 5-stick RAID6 arrays (with 2 spares slots). So I'd prefer at least 6 independent USB busses for maximum throughput.
Now, if I could just find a USB-memory stick robot...
reinharden
are you guys stupid...? they even indicate that its a fake in the text.
greatest comment yet

Is that comment for real?
Seriously though. It was nice to have any news coming out at all. I want to know when, I don't even care what at this point :)Sometimes fake news IS better than real news. Just look at the Onion News! They aren't getting any awards for honesty in journalism in the near future, aside from the breaking news about the new macbooks! (Can't wait to finally be free from my keyboard!) Seth needs to find something new each day and feed us. Even if it is bulls hit! Anyone agree?
I can't believe the internet fell for that yesterday. First off, does anyone actually think Apple is going to use the same case design?
I don't see why not, they have for the past 3 generations of the mini.
And it's not a bad design at all. There are no design flaws at all actually.
The only thing I would like is easier user accessibility.
Seriously, WHO CARES? It's a Mac Mini.
Great for data centers....
Haha.. not so fake after all?

Hmmm, same angle, same framing, same position as the 5 USB port Mac-Mini posted earlier... what are the odds!?!?! It's obvisously a fake... but the fact that we are all commenting on this pict is probably what the artist wanted. He got us going!
