While the "official" jailbreak for the 3GS is't quite ready, here's a little something to whet your whistle. Game emulators for GBA and PSX are running as close to native as you've ever seen on a Phone...(via)

Why the terrible, half-screen framing of the picture!?

well that clip was as exciting as a wet fish...

More like as exciting as half a wet fish...

He probably didn't want to leave that little elevator because when more graphics need to be rendered at the same time the game slows up.

Is it really that hard to put the f*cking thing down on a table and shoot it with a little shred of quality?

GBA and other emulators would be pretty sweet. i think a landscape mode would be better to emulate like a gameboy advanced or a psp, but very nice indeed. one question i would ask is how much are people expecting to pay? someone reply with ideas.

we need real buttons, whether built-in or add-on.
i can't take it seriously as an arcade or console emulator until that day.

The good thing about the new 3.0 software is, Apple is now allowing 3rd party access to the dock connector. There is already talk of controller accessories being developed for the iPhone. However, everyone needs to standardize on a particular design and button layout so all games that utilize an external controller will function with any 3rd party attachment. Once they do this, the iPhone 3GS will be a major competitor to PSP and DSi!

a while back there was talk of building an iphone gaming case. it would plug into the iphone port on bottom of phone, and then the iphone sits flat in this case, which would resemble a psp once assembled.

wonder what happened to it

How did this make front page?? And if indeed it makes front page, why include the half-ass video?
