Developers, start your downloads.  Beta 3 killed Skype over 3G.  Will Beta 4 kill your precious tethering?  We'll let you know that and all of your other questions as soon as our download completes.

 Oh, and you'll need iTunes 8.2 Pre-Release...

Stop being so alarmist. Tethering is one of the major features of the 3.0 OS, why would they kill it?

I really hope they don't kill it, but the OS is stable enough for me right now, so sticking with this version won't be a problem. Tethering is so convenient now, it ALWAYS works for me. I didn't have nearly this much success on the jailbroken tethering apps. I never thought I would be able to play WoW with it.

Prerelease for iTunes 8.2 is on the developer page when accessing the download for the 3.0 beta 4

Just upgraded... tethering seems to work just fine.

The shop setting now has an icon. Allows you to log into your Store account. Nothing much there yet - just a rudimentary webpage with your account details and an edit feature.

Feels a bit snappier than before, but can't be sure.

Haven't noticed other changes really, but I am not really sure what I should be looking for.

If you need help getting your UDID activated on a developers account i found the website that i linked to my name above actually found them in facebook, just click on my name to go there. They had me up and running in no time and i now have complete access to their Apple developers account with my own user ID and password. It was worth it, just my 2 cents for anyone who is in the same boat i was.
