iPhone games now have a TV out option thanks to some tinkering
Erica Sadun over at Ars found a little tidbit of programming joy in the form of an undocumented way to push iPhone video to an external TV display.
Freeverse, makers of Moto Chaser (iTunes link), took this information and got their application working on the external display in a few hours. This obviously opens up the possibility for more gaming opportunities although, for many, the Apple Composite AV Cable on the iPhone/iPod touch is cost prohibitive.

I think it is fake. His left thumb should be on the gas button, but isn't
If we're able to play our iPhone games by seeing them on a HDTV display this would open up more options for game designers who design games for the iPhone.
really???....no kidding
I've been talking almost since TV came out that it would be a perfect avenue for games. With some kind of WiFi controller or your iPod or iPhone I think games would greatly enhance the attractiveness of the TV for a lot of people.
The graphics are amazing…how big is that tv?!
