Apple officially announces new HomePod speaker to ‘reinvent home music,’ coming in December for $349

At its Worldwide Developer Conference today, Apple has officially taken the wraps off of its oft-rumored speaker in the form of HomePod. The device acts as a standalone way for users to interact with Siri, play music, and more. Tim Cook touts this as Apple’s effort to “reinvent home music” just as it did with products like the iPad.

How & when to watch Apple’s WWDC keynote presentation live today

Today’s the day that Apple will show us the new goodies to expect in iOS 11, macOS 10.13, watchOS 4 and tvOS 11 as the annual Worldwide Developer Conference kicks off. But while the event may have a software focus, we’re of course also expecting to see some new hardware.

Report: Apple plans to add new supported app categories for Siri at WWDC

A new report from Reuters today offers some information on planned Siri updates for iOS 11, part of an expansion expected to come alongside a much anticipated standalone Siri device during Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next week.
