The text reads:

I agree to a certain extent. Surely a fresh install of OS X warrants a restart or two before the updates have all been applied.

I'll never forget... My brother got his first Mac last fall, a white macbook. I was just sort of peeking over his shoulder for the box opening for the excitement of it. So he plugs it in, and then goes rummaging thru the box for a seccond and pulls out the OS discs, the pushes the power button. While he is sitting there watching his new laptop warm up, I ask him "What are you doing?". He looks at me with confusion. "Why do you have the OS discs ou?"... He just looks at me... "OSX is already installed" I say, "You're ready to go!". With a big grin on his face, he let out a small burst of air that was almost a laugh. "Welcome to Mac!" I said.

Steps 10-13 and 16-18 don't apply to Macs. The rest could also be saif about Macs.

The only steps that apply to Mac here are 2, 3, 4 and 14.
The rest are Windows only.
