Steve Jobs has been declared “CEO of the Decade” by Fortune Magazine, which has published an extensive treasure-trove of data on America’s most enigmatic business leader.
“In the past 10 years alone he has radically and lucratively reordered three markets -- music, movies, and mobile telephones -- and his impact on his original industry, computing, has only grown,” Fortune reports.
“Remaking any one business is a career-defining achievement; four is unheard-of,” it observes, drawing comparisons with other great US entrepreneurs.
There’s a host of different sections to explore in the online hoard, including a timeline detailing Apple’s successes (and failures) across the last ten years; hand-picked iPhone apps chosen by business celebs; sections on how Apple works, Pixar and the Jobs effect on music; and a collection of rare photographs of the man himself.
So there it is, Steve Jobs is arguably this generation’s most important CEO. And that’s no “rounding error”.
