doubt its real. new pics would have 3.0 installed. the page icons dont show the magnifying glass that is always displayed on the new software for spotlight to appear. and theres no gloss effect on the front of the phone like apple always like to have on their images.
Yep. Headphone jack at the bottom and sleep button moved to the top-left. I really hope they don't do that. The pictures are fake, but fairly close to reality I think, with those noted exceptions.
Two holes at the top would most likely be used for a speakerphone. The reason the current iPhone speakerphone sucks is because the volume isn't loud enough. The volume isn't loud enough because the speaker and microphone are near each other on the bottom of the phone and would cause too much feedback. Perhaps the top hole is a second, more powerful microphone? This would make sense for sound recording apps when you are trying to hold the phone upright to record your voice or are aiming it at the professor in class (and the new iPhone 3.0 software is shown upright, not upside down like some apps on the store, and nobody has mentioned Apple's mic program flipping upside down). It would also move it further away from the speaker so that the sound could be blasted and / or microphone sensitivity could be increased. My fiance always complains when she calls and I'm painting or something because I put her on speakerphone and she has a hard time hearing me on that little crappy microphone.
My question is why would someone bother to fake something so totally uninteresting?
I remember all those "fake, obvious photoshopped" pictures of the Mac Mini a couple months ago... complete with analysis of how this later proven to be real photograph had been manipulated.
But then again, NEVER believe there is "no reason for someone to lie" - you just don't know what it is. Maybe some incomprehensible internal self satisfaction. :>)
Well, the power button is on the opposite side, the headphone jack is moved to the bottom. It is more similar to the current iPod Touch. The garbled text next to the battery meter is the bluetooth logo and the percentage like in 3.0. But! it doesn't have the spotlight icon!?!?!?! It does have the additional ear speaker slot. The calender icon says monday the 13th and the last time there was a monday the 13th was back in april.

Like someone said, shouldn't it be running 3.0? And what's that garbled stuff next to the battery meter?
Too boring to be fake?

Running firmware 3.0 would make sense, but going by the 3G icon up the top, this baby's running 2.0. Yep, fake.
