More iPhone3 predictions
John Gruber, is also predicting faster processor, more battery life, better camera and digital compass for the iPhone 3. While nothing new is noted on the iPhone, he adds another voice to the changes we've been hearing for awhile now. He also agrees that a major feature of the next touch devices from Apple will be the cameras.
Based on our information, we believe the next iPhone chip will be the S5PC100.(Google it).
He also thinks that 13-inch aluminum Macbooks will all now be called MacBook Pros (not Airs of course) and we'll see minor updates to the MacBook Pro line at WWDC.

The macbook to macbook pro is very interesting, maybe this is so they can introduce smaller cheaper computers which will now be called macbooks?
Doesn't "pro" imply firewire? Yay! After all, if they rename the 13" "pro", they have to change something about it.
With smartphone chipsets, the CPU has a LOT within it: camera electronics, RAM, ROM, video adapter, etc, are all housed in the single chip.
So IF the new iPhone has an updated CPU, it is a sure bet that the iPhone will have an upgraded camera, RAM, video, better battery life, etc. Because there is no other option.
You could just link to a recent 9to5mac article on it!

Yeah the MacBook is kind of a weird beast right now. Great build quality, but no FW, loud fans, and cruddy screen and no dedicated vram and it's $$$$.
The aluminum Macbook is a fantastic product, IMHO. I bought the "low end" one, and it is hardly that. It is closer to the Pro than it is the plastic Macbook. Love it. I'm torn between another one or 24" iMac.
do you think the prices will go up when the thirteen inch computers become pros?
Don't think so. Market's tough and economy's tight. I think they are just going to add Firewire to the 13" Aluminium line-up, which would make them "Pro".
Its a good way to maintain a healthy product life cycle without introducing something really different and new every year.
I'd rather buy a zune
Hahaha. There's no way the iPhone is gonna have a lens like that on it. That is so fake.
Yes it is, sir, yes it is....
