if you edit video you are constantly using the number pad for time code entries, duration entries. I know it doesnt seem like a big deal, but when you are editing fast you dont need to look at the number pad because its all laid out perfectly, its awkward and slow comparatively to use the top numbers. The 17" MBP was introduced at nab(video &broadcast tradeshow), its the only fully hi def mac book, and it's built perfectly for mobile use of final cut and editing video, except the lack of a number pad.
Also I think at least the 17" should have 1 built in esata port, they could leave it off the 15".
