Hey, while the Mac industry has happily spent the summer speculating about the rumoured Apple tablet device, we’ve kind of let notions of the next-version iPhone slip under the radar - now it looks like Cupertino’s plans for iPhone 4 are really advanced, and here’s a picture of the casing.
Now, we’re not taking credit for this rather nifty spot - that belongs to Gizmodo, and while we can’t verify if there’s any truth at all to this story, we’ll join Gizmodo in pointing out that the Chinese manufacturer publishing this device has accurately made available images of other Apple components before their release.

Apple has already dropped MacWorld's keynote just "not to have to release" something so close after Xmas.
I think a "once a year" (June/July) release of an iPhone model is enough for Aoole, except that they develop a different one (a nano).
In the last years, Apple has distributed its releases at a once (or less than one) product update. That way, it can keep with all irs products upgrading without bottlenecks.

How could this be the tablet? The size of the thing is the same as the current iPhone. I can't see why Apple would bring out any significant new products this year, unless it's an iPhone 3GS that works with Verizon.
A great Christmas present from Apple would be OS 3.2 - a free update to all users... I can see the ads now; Merry Christmas from Apple to all our iPhone customers! On my list for Santa is:
- Ability to run background apps (which will come one day)
- Better management of home screens (possibly with 'Stacks' or similar)
- One more thing, that only Steve J knows I want.

call me crazy, but it looks like an extra drilled out hole for a camera. I'd be nice to see Apple pump up the camera on the iPhone. there are so many Phones with better cameras, and i think the iPhone can have a much more powerful camera if Apple choose to really pump it up.
Also, are those going to be external screw holes on the back? Kinda like the.... zune? (noooooo) I like how clean Apple always keeps it. However, this could make it easier for you to replace the Battery? maybe it's not what i think it is.
Or maybe it's not even for the iPhone, like every other leaked image. time will tell.

I just had my iPhone 3GS stolen and am back to using my original 1st Gen Edge iPhone, So I hope it's is true. If I'm going to shell out a bunch of money for a new iPhone it might as well be a NEW iPhone.
Oh.. not to self promote, but I learned a lot about Mobile Me and what can and can't be done when you're phone is swiped. Even though I basically tracked it to the thief's house, there was nothing the police could do. I just think people should know what's real.
