Apple ships '12 Days of Christmas' free App
Apple has introduced an all-new seasonally-sanctioned free app, iTunes 12 Days of Christmas (UK store link).
The app is available now in most territories and constitutes the official app of the company’s hot 12 days promotion, during which iTunes users will be able to download fresh free content each day between December 26 and January 6.
“The official app of the iTunes 12 Days of Christmas promotion offers customers a free download every day from December 26 through January 6 (includes music, TV, apps and movies),” the company promises.
“For maximum benefit, sign up for Push Notifications to remind you when each new download is available and connect to Facebook to recommend the free download to friends. All this great new content is sure to while away the post-Christmas blues,” Apple has said in a statement.

Not available for us users in the U.S. yet.
That's because it's still under review
any word if it'll be released in Canada? eh?
You probably won't read this, (but I hope Seth and maybe Apple will?). Today is the 12th day, and this Apple (UK) promo has been an utter farce. Not one, ONE single thing has appeared that I had the remotest interest in, or even bothered downloading. I mean who on earth were you marketing this at? Teenagers? It may have well have been. Where were the classical music downloads? Jazz? Productivity or navigation apps? How about an Education app, like something wikipedia based, don't know, I'm just firing shots in the dark now! Nope, like usual, just the usual 'groovy pap' that seems to arrive with most 'aimed at the yoof generation 'rage against the machine' ads these days. Change the record Apple. We're not all that stupid you know. Right. Dumb rant over. Time to throw some more snowballs at the kids ;)
