Apple's online stores fly 'Black Friday' deals

Apple has introduced ‘Black Friday’ sales event messages on both its US and UK online stores, ramping up anticipation for the special one day discount sale.

“The special Apple one-day shopping event. November 27,” the page declares. “Come back to the Apple Online Store this Friday for a special one-day-only shopping event. You’ll find lots of great iPod, iPhone and Mac gift ideas — all with free shipping.”

The US online store refers to TGI Friday (thank god it’s Friday), but this time the intro begins, “Come back to the Apple Online Store the day after Thanksgiving for a special one-day-only holiday shopping event.”

Recent claims predict Apple intends offering deep discounts in its Black Friday sale, though historically these have tended to be modest (good, but not great). Previous reports had claimed up to 25 per cent off of the cost of all Macs may be made available.

Meanwhile Amazon has also introduced a huge range of Thanksgiving deals in the US and the UK, offering numerous products at good prices - the online retailer also offers AppleCare Protection Plan cover at substantial discounts from the normal Apple price.
