Apple beats Google in leadership survey
Apple has beaten previous leader Google into second place in this year’s Thought Leadership Index.
The Index is based on a poll of 1,000 CEOs and other business leaders in the UK. The poll was conducted by Populus. Participants were asked to identify those organisations which they believed successfully introduced new thinking, products and business models, and also delivered on the "promise" of their brand.
Apple finished behind Google in the same study last year, but this year jumped its rival into first place. Microsoft remains in equal third place, sharing this position with Amazon and GlaxoSmithKline.
Facebook took number eight while Twitter took tenth place.
Malcolm Gooderham, managing director of TLG, said the "companies with the greatest influence are those brands that positively define an industry or issue."
