Apple's London Regent Street Store getting a midnight update
A midnight stroll down Regent Street yielded a particularly interesting view of the flagship Apple store. It seems the place is getting a major makeover. Massive chunks of the floor were being upgraded as well as a few large displays being unveiled. Something in the works for tomorrow to coincide with the earnings call? Doubtful...but the store is going to look a little "spiffier". More pictures...
Update: My 2am grammar/spelling sux and iFoAppleStore says that this was an update to accommodate crowds.

Seth, aren't you a professional journalist? I believe you write for another site as well. The poor grammar on 9to5Mac really makes reading my favorite blog an annoying experience! Get an editor! Or... go to 3rd grade!
"There was massive pieces of the flooring being upgraded"
Correction:
There WERE massive pieces of the flooring being upgraded
if this were a single mistake, i wouldn't have wasted my finger strength on a post, but this happens everyday.
pretentious wanker
He then goes on to make the same mistake "if this *were* a single mistake, i wouldn't have wasted my finger strength on a post, but this happens everyday."
Ahahahah
But then again, you're right, there are spell checkers everywhere and this is, after all, computer world.
The way I do it, sometimes, when the application where I'm writing at doesn't have spellchecker, is I copy the text, create a new GMail, spell check it, select all and copy, discard email and paste it in the Comment box. Not doing it now, though, it's just a tiny comment. But if I *was* to post on my blog or web site I would surely ensure I had spell checked the text prior to posting. Or maybe even after that, editing and correcting it. Shows professionalism and respect. The lack of it show amateurism, sloppy and disrespect for readers
Haha you're wrong!

I suppose you're suggesting that it should be written, "If this WAS a single mistake"
Sounds like you never learned the subjunctive tense. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subjunctive_mood
In the first article, the author is mixing up plural / singular. In the responder's post, he is CORRECtly using the SUBJUNCTIVE mood. It is often mistaken, but the poster correctly used it. So keep laughing, 9to5mac noob!
Ok, probably not, but is there any evidence of this happening in any other AppleStores at present?
Dude so what, what if the guy made couple grammar mistakes. He is trying to keep us updated with news that we care about. He is not trying to teach us English. Go find something else to do than checking grammar on 9to5. Loser....
Dude are you some kind of Grammar Nazi? This a blog not the Times.
Something similar is happening at the NYC cube store
It's a new iPhone display! Sweet! I can't wait for the earnings call.
Shouldn't they have at least turned off the line of Macs along the side wall before draping them with plastic? Maybe it's just me but I don't think that plastic laying over them is all that great for air circulation. Mental note, don't buy a demo unit from the London store.
ypu cant buy demo units from the london store anyway. they all go to the refurb store...lol
So what about them lakers? just tryin' to change the subject!
They can't be any worse than the SF Giant's Zito!
I take it then, you read the whole (or should that be hole) article, without being able to understand a single point that the story was aimed at making?
Grammar Nazi... sounds like the soup nazi from Seinfeld.
I understand where he is going with his comment.. nevertheless, is the form on how to go about it!! he might know the subjunctive but he/she should get some people skills..
