Bake Sale Apple Ad
Another Apple ad. Got to say this one didn't do it for us. And that outfit on Mac guy looks familiar/ass-hat-ish.

Erm. I dunno. I think it has.
The comedic timing in this one feels a bit more awkward, particularly at the "Have a bite" part.
And at this point they don't really need to announce themselves as "I'm a PC" or "I'm a Mac". We know who they are, it's not like one is a typewriter and the other is a baked waffle.
Does it for me, and for those little pickers... I'd like to see YOU do better. It's EASY to criticise you know.
Bean Counter was clever, funny and original. This is forced, not very subtle and it's an awkward watch. Oh dear!
I thought it was very funny - especially the punchline of "now you;ve gotta pay me, cause you had a bite' - well timed and clever.
As for the clothes being the same, well, yeah - they usually film things like this at the same time, and I have noticed many 'repeating costumes' throughout the campaign. In fact, if you watch the time machine ad (the one with the many, many Justin Long(s) character) you can look at the other ads and trace back his costume. Its super-geek fun.
In regards to the first comment, I agree - they dont need to introduce themselves anymore (anyone who doesnt know by now that one is a PC and one is a Mac isnt the demographic anyway) but as much as they dont need to, that sort of is the heart of the ads, and I doubt they would do away with it.
Sorry guys, It was just too easy:

Very nice and has a good dig at MS marketing strategy.
I was thinking a title like "Free bite..." might have been better but too obvious.
This may be a new direction less funny and more home truths.
I don't know if it was the mention of the $10 million figure (a not-so-subtle allusion to Sienfeld's reported paycheck from MS) that seems to yank it out of the usual metaphorical realm and into one of bland grittiness, but I have to say this one just didn't taste good...
I gotta say, 9to5Mac Noob makes a hell of a point!
:)
I don't think they should stop introducing themselves. It makes the ads much more effective, and besides, there a lot of people that still are not familiar with mac.
Beat, lame, doofus, frumpy, fuddy duddy. But ass-hat? That makes me think of a arrogant cynic - you know like when SJ made his comment about nobody reading anymore.
It started well, but went steadily downhill. I also think that it's a bit odd, considering PC was the one counting out the money in Bean Counter. This one just doesn't work.
A Bake Sale is how I was going to suggest to the presidential candidates for us to make back that 700 Billion+ for the financial "rescue"
Such apple fanboi
Go to unbiased sites like pcworld or microsoft.com
jk
As a fan of these spots, I have to say, least clever of them all.
I think it was great until the whole "I'll have a cup cake" part. It went from awesome to lame in a matter of seconds.
Even tho I love the commercials, this one is right down there with Sad Song, Pizza Box and Calming Teas.
...but I liked Pizza Box.
I quite liked it and think they should keep introducing themselves albeit in a snappier way like in this ad. Funny stuff and a nice dig. Can't help but think a snazzy ad advertising how great the mac is would be better.
