About to get shut before they open: Quo, the latest Apple Clone
Here's a good idea: Open up a shop that sells Apple clones. Not a shady internet operation. An actual storefront with people working inside.
We're sure Apple will let it slide.
"It's exciting. We are trying to stay as close to Apple as we can with our products," Rashantha De Silva, Quo founder, told CNET News. "We are trying to mimic things as much as we can. I'm hoping that Apple sees the value in what we are doing."
"They probably will (sue us)," De Silva said. "There are others doing this, but we have a different attitude. There are thousands of people in the 'Hackintosh' market, but many of them are creating bad products. I don't think anyone wins in that environment."
Good luck with that.

Sigh... if I could only live in total oblivion the way some people do.
They are trying to sell a good configuration using apple's software and saying "hey, we are as good as an apple only cheaper!", Apple is not in the software market, they are in the hardware market! they sell computers, they are expensive yes true, but you pay for what you want! a Ferrari is an expensive car, yet everyone wants one... not all of us ever will but we still wish for one... you are not gonna go shopping on a Ferrari nor take you're family (big family) on a field trip on a Ferrari, well mac's are in a league of they're own, and they needed software to run they're computers so they came up with a really fine interface on top of an excellent OS, which they practically give away with the hardware, and don't care much for serial numbers, nor do you have to register and if it's not a legal copy you'll get dished out of updates, because they don't sell software!! they sell hardware! if you buy leopard it should be because you're using a mac, and that's the way they want to keep it! so hell yea they are gonna sue!

that's great logic. i will open a burger joint beside mcdonalds and sell 'big macs' using all the ingredients as close as i can to mcdonalds. "We are trying to mimic things as much as we can. I'm hoping that ----mcdonalds----- sees the value in what we are doing."...

As a designer, I am willing to pay for design, innovation and original ideas. I don't buy from people who undercut someone elses hard work because they think people shouldn't have to pay full price for it.
