Ok, 9to5mac ROCKS! They totally proved themselves and their intel. Now that the iPods are out, what about the macbook pros? I have been waiting awhile to buy one, but I don't want to go out and buy one and then have them update it soon after and regret it. So, earlier you said January, and more information? Any specs? Is it going to be a totally new macbook pro like they did with the imacs or just better graphics? We need a new design! What info do you have? BRING ON THE MACBOOKS PRO! 9To5MAC ROCKS!

The small HDD size on the touch was the dealbreaker for me.

It's not worth downgrading from 30/60/80gig to 16 gig, and the iPod classic isn't worth upgrading to either, since I dont' need the space nor the UI.

You guys are crazy, you had all the true intel out there. I was skeptical but everything you guys said came true. I will now trust you guys for future stuff.

I already ordered my iPod touch but i cant wait untill the 29th I already had to wait for today. I wish apple would release it like all the other iPods. But, its gonna be worth the wait.

Built-in wi-fi and only 16GB of storage -- how natural it would have been for the new iPod touch to be able to not only sync wirelessly to one's computer, but to be able to play streaming music and video without having to physically download it? Or to send music to remote speakers as one can do from one's computer? That these features are missing is a pretty big disappointment. Is it Apple's intention that customers should buy content a second time if they are away from their computers and have forgotten to download a particular song or video? Or is this just another case of Apple's recent practice of bringing products to market before their potential is fully realized?

Prices go down as the volume of sales drives the cost of production down, but the iPhone price cut of 33% in only 60 days is not only disproportionate, it is unconscionable. They pissed off one million of their loyal customers. Apple has entered a new era of unpredictable, volatile pricing.

I just got done switching from Microsoft to Apple and now I wonder if I haven't gone from the frying pan to the fire. I won't be so quick to buy Apple products any more.

Anyone else think that the best part of the announcement is the 200 dollar price drop on the iPhone. I am actually going to buy one now. I figure that the touch is only going to have twice the space, so why not go all out. I guess if you hate AT&T, but I think verizon sucks ass too.

Once again, no mention of the Beatles music catalog at today's event. How long do we have to wait for their music to be available for purchase? Anyway, I was very skeptical on the iPod Nanos but you guys were right on the money.

just thinking about the changes in the iPod and iMacs - would this imply that Apple will proceed with giving the Macbooks brushed metal exteriors, and moving the Macbook Pros and (maybe) Mac Pros up to the iPhone / iPod touch black?

Remeber all that unused screen space is for a lot of good updates

I REALLY wanted a larger capacity TouchPod, but right now I'm going to have to be satisfied with an 8 GB nano and wait for TouchPod.5 to get larger capacities. a 30 GB Touch would've been perfection. Oh, well.

Almost every complaint about the iPod touch (other than storage) can most likely be solved with the same hacks being used on the iPhone.

You know, I think the biggest news was the iPhone price drop. Palm and Blackberry should have diahrrea around their ankles now. I got mine yesterday.

I'll buy an iPod Touch in November when the price drops to $150 after the $200 price reduction.
