Apple US Black Friday sale released, often surpassed by Amazon
Black Friday has finally hit Apple's US Store though most of their deals don't surpass Amazon, who are extremely aggressive this week. Amazon also offer another $10 off for Discover card purchases and don't make you jump through rebate hoops like other discounters (MacMall, MacConnection, ClubMac). (Amazon has free shipping and is tax free to most states as well.)

I got an advertisement from Apple a short while ago in my e-mail box. I thought cool I'll wait to get my mac mini server. Stupid me. The "sale" doesn't affect Military or Student sales :( I waited for nothing. At least the military discount is still cheaper than the sale :D
Great post.I would say lots of people are talking about the best of the holiday season already and with Black Friday here we are talking about lots of computer goodies under the tree...Thanks for sharinig such an useful post here.I was wondering this stuff only.Thank you.
It goes back to $999 after Apple Friday sale came out.
I got one of these for my son on Weds. and it was the best deal on the street - no question. Everyone else had you going through hoops for rebates or paying shipping or taxes. Amazon was straight discounted price, latest model, and no tax or shipping - and it'll be here on Tuesday, already shipped as of Friday.
Now in a better world I might have enlarged the hard drive and the RAM, but frankly, I let it go and it'll be OK. That's what they make expansion drives for, right?
All the iMacs were discounted on the main Apple Store site, including the Core i7 machines. But if you visited the government employee discount site (as I'm a government employee), they only had a Black Friday discount on the low-end iMac. There were no deals on any of the other iMacs. :-( Very sad. I was hoping for a deal on the Core i7.
Thank you very much for the excellent and useful subject.
