Even with a thorough Hackintoshing, the Dell Adamo doesn't look to be a serious competitor to the MacBook Air.  Shots from Engadget liveblog.

It is DELL!

That's enough to get a pass from me. No thanks...

So that is it!!

Is it that hard to copycat?!
I guess it took them since the launching of MBA to get it done lol. Looks thick, and the rear is hilarious...lol

Dude after looking at the video of it from engadget i have to say this thing looks look a hell of a lot like the regular Macbook, here's the link http://www.viddler.com/explore/engadget/videos/154/10.013

I like the power brick, that's about it. It does seem thick looking at the shots of the back. I don't personally care for USB or other ports on the rear of laptop. That's not convenient in the least. If you have a thumb drive do you really want to turn the machine around to stick it in? Or would you rather pop it in the side?

Just saw it... it looks ugly!

Just saw it... it looks ugly! have you noticed the black frame surrounding the lcd??? hmmm.... i wonder where i saw one that looks similar.... :D

First Thoughts

No other way to say it, but is that a big fast tumor on the backside of the monitor behind the standard issue lame hinges (cheap PC's always use)?

My best guess is they stuck the battery into the back slot, or couldn't engineer the product well to include ports on the side, so that is where they reside?

How far can one tip the screen back as a result?...

Dell is looking for any market space to make margin on. They do not make products to inspire or for purpose, just copy and sell. This looks to be trying to take on the Sony sub-notebook market more than anything else. Good luck Dell, you are going to need it...

I hate Dell ... but

Copying Apple or not I would take that keyboard 100 times over the MacBook's. I don't know how it feels but it looks beautiful.

The keyboard looks HORRIBLE!!

Hey! Kudos to Dell! They've made their thinnest notebook yet. Wait... what's the surprise? It's deformed looking, almost looked like the original black MacBook there for a second. And last but not least, it runs Windows Vista! (hopefully they managed to cram a decent processor in there.)

Whose idea was it any way? Lets release pics of this thing but no specs or prices. Genius!
