A new iTunes version? Close. This is Miro 4, a new feature-packed media player for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.

It comes with the Amazon MP3 store and a bittorrent client built-in. Desktop and mobile devices running Miro can share and transfer music and video files to each other effortlessly over the wireless network. You can download videos from YouTube, Amazon, bittorrent and podcasts directly in Miro 4 and convert any video file to iOS-friendly MP4 or H.264 formats. The program sports handy presets for dozens of devices, including Android and iOS gadgets. And for our Android friends, Miro 4 makes converting and syncing your media to Android devices easy. And not just media, the program lets you buy Android software from both Android Market and the Amazon Appstore and sync apps to your devices. Miro 4 is available on Windows, Mac OS X, Ubuntu and other Linux distributions totally free of charge. It’s a no-brainer, if you ask me.
