Changewave: Verizon iPhone 4 owners slightly more satisfied due to fewer dropped calls

A new ChangeWave survey (boy, are those market surveys ticking me off) pitting the Verizon iPhone 4 owners against their AT&T iPhone 4-toting counterparts is out and looks like the former respondents are slightly more satisfied than the latter. The difference is in two percentage points, with 82 percent of Verizon iPhone 4 respondents saying they’re Very Satisfied versus 80 percent of AT&T iPhone 4 customers.

What about dropped calls? Read on…

//

ChangeWave has some valid data on that as they’ve been tracking overall dropped call rates among major US carriers since September 2008. Their most recent ranking puts Verizon Wireless on top with only 1.4 percent dropped calls over the past three months. T-Mobile and Sprint users reported 2.3 percent and 2.7 percent dropped calls on average. AT&T came in last among the four major carriers with an average 4.6 percent of dropped calls reported by its users, historical data shows. Over the past three months Verizon iPhone 4 users reported 1.8 percent of dropped calls on average versus 4.8 percent for AT&T iPhone 4 owners.

This probably explains a slightly more satisfied Verizon iPhone 4 users in the ChangeWave survey.
