Hello, has anyone realized the size that is listed on the packages. Apple will allow 3 different sizes to choose from. You will get your choice of 10, 20, or 30 (if you can afford the big one). The iPod Touch will get the same options with your choice of 30, 60, or 80. Enjoy!
This actually looks really nice. I had my doubts, but Apple really delivered. I bet it feels great in your hand. I have an iPhone, so I'm an unlikely customer, but I'm sure it will sell extremely well and iPods will remain the dominant MP3 player as the market begins its descent.
A list of other things I expect:
- No more click wheels, with the exception of the nano. They will put out a new iPod Touch with Flash, but there will also be one with a 160 GB drive in it and a touch screen. This is to help promote the touch interface platform and to widen the audience of people who can purchase apps from the Apps Store. The iPod Classic will cease to exist in their product line.
- Some type of touch based tablet device probably called iPad or Touch Pad or something like that. It will probably be a like the iPhone but bigger in size and hopefully have better battery life and 3G. There will also be an Apps Store for this device.
- Apps Store for desktop iMacs and Mac Pros. This might be in iTunes 8 (*is excited for new visualizations*). This will promote more developers to write applications for the Mac OS and will give them a centralized way to easily distribute their applications. This is important for many, many reasons, which I'll let you figure out. Steve Jobs has said that the Apps Store for the iPhone is unlike anything he has ever seen in software distribution, and I can assure you he is smart enough to bring that model to different platforms.
I'm not in the market for a nano right now, so I'm not too concerned if it's fake or not, but I would be interested in reading why you say it's fake, for the sake of discussion.
